8 Hour Infection Control Course

Offered by the Global Dental Assisting Program, this comprehensive Infection Control Certification course is designed to equip dental assistants with the knowledge and practical skills required to 

maintain a safe clinical environment. This hybrid program includes 4 hours of online instruction covering essential topics such as CDC guidelines, OSHA standards, disease transmission, sterilization protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

The course is completed with 4 hours of in-person clinical training, where participants apply infection control procedures in a hands-on setting, including instrument processing, operatory disinfection, and barrier techniques.

Certification Details:

Upon successful completion of both the online and clinical components, participants will receive an 8-Hour Infection Control Certification, meeting applicable state requirements and demonstrating competency in modern infection prevention standards in dental settings.
