Offered by the Global Dental Assisting Program, this comprehensive Infection Control Certification course is designed to equip dental assistants with the knowledge and practical skills required to maintain a safe clinical environment. This hybrid program includes 4 hours of online instruction covering essential topics such as CDC guidelines, OSHA standards, disease transmission, sterilization protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE). The course is completed with 4 hours of in-person clinical training, where participants apply infection control procedures in a hands-on setting, including instrument processing, operatory disinfection, and barrier techniques. Certification Details: Upon successful completion of both the online and clinical components, participants will receive an 8-Hour Infection Control Certification, meeting applicable state requirements and demonstrating competency in modern infection prevention standards in dental settings.
